My name is Terra B. Cole and I am seeking the DFL nomination to represent North Minneapolis residents in the State House of Representatives. The seat, District 59B, is being vacated by Rep. Bobby Joe Champion, who is seeking the nod for State Senator.

In addition, I wanted to explain my answer to the question about abiding by the endorsement. I value your input and your commitment as a delegate to the process of nominating a DFL representative. We must send the best qualified, most capable representative to the Capitol. I will be abiding by the endorsement as long as the process is fair. We must not allow our process to be hijacked, so plan to come to the convention ready to vote and produce an endorsed candidate!

I want to let you know that I appeared on KFAI-FM’s City of Minneapolis Redistricting Show, which aired on Monday, March 5.
KFAI can be found on your FM dial at 90.3, or you can check out the audio podcast here.
We will discuss proposals for our city’s new ward boundaries, and what changes are likely to occur after assessing the results of the 2010 Census. Proposed lines will be posted to KFAI’s website, and listeners are encouraged to call the program with their ideas. As a member of the City of Minneapolis Redistricting Committee, I would love to hear what you want from our new ward map, and how you would draw the lines. I’ll be knocking on doors this Thursday, March 22, and hosting a meet-and-greet event at Segue Coffee in Elliot Park on Monday, March 26 (5-7 PM), and hope to talk to you!
News on Redistricting and Our Campaign’s Next Steps
On February 21, the Minnesota Special Redistricting Panel released their new maps for congressional and legislative districts. What is currently known as Senate District 58 has been given the new number of 59, and the the A-B House seat boundary has moved south.
